Wednesday 16th April 2008: Kate Scott

Kate Scott's first full volume of poetry Stitches was published by Peterloo Poets in 2003. Douglas Dunn described it as "a rich collection" and Kate Scott's voice as "mysterious and lyrical". Al Alvarez described the poems in the collection as "very good, subtle, grown-up, full of feeling". Kate's poems have often been broadcast on the Radio 4 programme, Poetry Please and have been broadcast in the U.S.A. on Garrison Keillor's Writer's Almanac. She has also written short stories and a novel for young adults. Kate lives with her husband and baby daughter in Dorset.
